The Nest
Oslo, Norway
The Nest is a gentle renovation of a loft apartment in Oslo, designed to support emotional wellbeing through the darker Nordic months. With a non-invasive approach, the design celebrates the apartment’s architectural quirks—angled ceilings, structural shifts, and tucked-away corners became assets rather than obstacles. Vertical space and forgotten kitchen voids were reimagined for function and flow, creating a sense of openness without altering the layout. A soft, tonal palette draws in natural light, bringing warmth and clarity even on overcast days.
The bathroom was transformed into a spa-like ritual space—muted, tactile, and calming. Designed as a daily reset, it offers a moment of quiet amid seasonal noise. Rooted in softness and intention, The Nest is more than a home; it’s a place to exhale.
